The Five Borough ambassadors include rapper, songwriter and producer Theophillus London from Brooklyn; up and coming rapper Miss Banks from Harlem; Rapper and Young Money record artist Corey Gunz from the Bronx; Format, a BMX lifestyle store and crew led by Nigel Sylvester, from Queens; and from Staten Island— host of the longest running show on WSIA in New York, Emilio Sparks. Shouts to DJ SEMTEX (http://www.djsemtex.com/blog/) for using my Jay Elec pics over on his blog. If you have ever been in attendance at a Jay Electronica show you will already know how unforgettable they are.

At the Jazz Cafe he gave away his chain, swapped clothes with someone in the audience and gave one of the best live performances you’re likely to see.

That being said, you don’t want to miss this show at Cargo, details on the venue can be found here and you can book your tickets here and to those of you that do get tickets, I’ll see you there!

Get a sun tan b*tch……

For the rest of the pics check here. Another great show is ‘Into the Hoods’ that I first saw a few years ago at the Edinburgh Fringe festival. It is again re-running at the Southbank in July-August and well worth a watch.
