Today I was looking through my old graphotisms and came across the Seen special from his exhibition at the outside institute a few years back He is one of my favourite grafitti artists and one I took a lot of inspiration from back in the day. Today im crossing genres. Something old, something borrowed and something new….to start I hit you up with a lil Coltrane. I rediscovered my impulse boxset the other day and he is still my favourite saxophonist. Secondly a lil Omar. This is my dude and ive got nothing but love for the UK soul don, and this is one of my favourite covers of all time ( I posted the original Stranglers classic last week) and to finish something new (ish)..some tinie tempah..after hearing this song destroy a trading places party before christmas its now gettings its dues on radio and rightly so ( Im still definitely more a fan of the production of the track). Tinie was at the Chris Ofili after party during the week and the song went down a smash again..looking like a big year for this man. Props

Blackstar ( aka Kweli and Mos) Classic from 2001, on the seminal Rawkus records (RIP the old original Rawkus select). This album is timeless and the only album I need on my G-pod…if you dont know…now you know…

Eelus’s first solo London show ‘The Colour Of Space’ at Blackall Studios 73 Leonard Street, London, opens on the 25th Feb and runs til the 6th March. The show will feature a collection of 21 brand new paintings on canvas, wood and metal, a nice big mural or 2 and a retrospective look at all his print work over the last few years.
